The journey of ABLE Charities
The journey of ABLE Charities (a non-profit organization) has entered into 30th year of its existence. ABLE has grown into an important agent of change for weakest sections of society. Most vulnerable sections of the society are the focus segment, e.g. Children esp. Orphans; Women esp. widows below poverty line and families suffering from the disabling miseries of poverty and societal ills. Team enables them through health and education. The ultimate endeavor is give them chance to live with dignity in a sustainable manner.

Today Team ABLE is backed by 1800 volunteers; has handled more than 262 projects; causes solved stood at 3523; 1500 free cataract eye operations every year; possess 25 bedded charitable hospital in Palwal District spread over 7 acres of land (just adjacent to National Highway 2 – popularly known as GT Road); possess Kanya Gurukul ‘PREM Ghar’ full time residential facility to accommodate 80 girls; mid-day meal to 500 children studying in ABLE NFE Schools catering to the needy people from not only Palwal but neighboring Districts including Faridabad, Nuh-Mewat, Mathura, Alwar and Bharatpur; ABLE NFE Schools situated in Faridabad District numbering 10 and taking care of 758 students from slum areas;
ABLE works toward a world where every human being lives with dignity in a world full of enabling opportunities without any discrimination as to religion, caste, creed or color.
The eventful journey started in the year 1993 in the name and style ASSOCIATION FOR BLINDNESS & LEPROSY ERADICATION. With the changing times, the acronym ABLE became popular and was adopted by the TEAM. Initial journey started from one room (15ft *12ft without electricity and water) tenement from a sleepy village Behrola (small village situated in the outskirts of Palwal City about 80 KMs away from Capital city of Delhi).
